In this large-format piece, Diego Forriol takes us into the vibrant depths of a forest in half-light. The work is a masterful study of colour and texture, where a rich palette of greens —from the deepest and darkest to the most luminous limes— is layered in translucent, gestural veils.
The composition plays with the duality between the abstraction of the foliage and the suggestion of a watery reflection at the bottom, where a flash of cobalt blue breaks the density of the vegetation. Loose strokes and subtle paint drips evoke the humidity and organic movement of nature. A central linear structure, barely perceptible, suggests a bridge or a path that is lost in the thicket, inviting the viewer on a contemplative journey towards a refuge of calm and mystery.
