This work starts from a watercolour of the Hanging Houses of Cuenca that I painted by hand,
I wanted to capture one of the most emblematic corners of Spain through the loose, poetic language of watercolour, letting the ochre, sepia and golden tones evoke the stone suspended over the Huécar gorge in a misty atmosphere. For me it conveys the history, the calm and the unique character of Cuenca, and that final hand intervention gives each copy an unrepeatable artistic value.
